Description
Peradze is based in the winemaking region of Kartli. It is owned by Irakli (Ika) Peradze who comes from a successful career in Tech. He started off as a wine enthusiast – eventually becoming a passionate winemaker about 3 years ago when he started making wine from his house not far from the capital, Tbilisi.
He uses a mixture of Qvevri, tanks, and French oak barrels to get the best out of the 12 different grape varieties he works with. For his Tavkveri he deemed the use of tanks most suitable. And, the results speak for themselves – a supremely elegant and beautifully balanced medium to full bodied wine with pleasant acidity and soft tannins. Deep notes of barberry and red berries radiate.
This is a seriously classy red. Highly recommended!
