The Georgian Wine Society

The Orovela is the traditional Georgian ploughing song, and the Orovela Saperavi perfectly demonstrates how today’s Georgian wines are combining modern winemaking techniques with their unique and ancient traditions.

This opulent, ruby colour wine has rich Black Mulberry, blackberry and cherry flavours. It is aged in French and American oak for 12 months to give a lovely velvety tannin and vanilla aroma, with a fine structure which will ensure good aging.

Described by Jancis Robinson as “the best Georgian wine I have ever tasted” this wine gives an exciting preview of the wines we can expect from Georgia in the future.

The 2004 vintage is limited to 8500 bottles.
